For all the guests out there with a sweet tooth; don’t worry, we’ve not forgotten about you! In fact, at least one of our stands is going to make your dessert-loving-faces light right up. The Food Department is absolutely delighted to partner with such a classic, the connoisseur amongst French patisseries. The best thing about the concept, is that instead of enjoying one tart, you can indulge on several tiny ones! They have all imaginable flavours and colours, pleasing to not only the taste buds, but the eyes also.
Petit Gateau specialises in tiny tarts, measuring to no more than 6 centimeters across. So make room, because you can try dozens of flavours! With their shop on the Haarlemmerstraat, they have made quite a name for themselves. Amsterdam has enjoyed the delights of French flavours in miniature size ever since they opened their doors.
However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Petit Gateau also serves a grand range of homemade cakes, from carrot cake to good old red velvet. And no worries, in case you were wondering, they also serve macarons, madeleines and éclairs. All this is topped by some great breakfast-options. They have plans to expand to New York one day and let people there enjoy their creations. We however, are very very happy that they chose to stick around for a little while longer and cater to the sweet needs of people in The Food Department.
So if you are looking to sink your teeth into something sweet, tiny and French? Petit Gateau is the right place to start. Try not to be overwhelmed by the choices, just pick and enjoy. Because luckily, these tiny cakes leave room for many more.
