NEW FOOD STAND WILL JOIN TFD FAMILY

The day we all have been waiting for is here ! The Food Department is happy to announce the opening of the newest food stand – The Poffertjes Office!

What is on a menu? Yes, the tastiest Dutch poffertjes and stroopwafels of all of Amsterdam located in one of the historical buildings. And you are right, the name of the stand is connected to the past of our building. Up until the year of 1895 the area used to be an old post office after it became known as Magna Plaza.  

The Poffertjes Office offers a variety of traditional Dutch mini pancakes, known as poffertjes, small fluffy pancakes. The traditional way to eat poffertjes is with butter and powdered sugar. But The Poffertjes Office took a few steps forward and personalized them to your own taste with an array of fresh, savory or sweet toppings. Some of them are delicious red velvet poffertjes served with white chocolate and chunks of brownies, or savory options such as poffertjes with molten Old Amsterdam cheese, rocket and truffle mayonnaise.
